Do not ignore alignment
A door that rubs or a drawer that needs force is already telling you something is out of alignment. Continuing to use it can enlarge screw holes or damage runners.
Keep moisture away from board edges
MDF and particle-board edges can swell after prolonged water exposure. Dry spills quickly and address leaks before surface damage spreads.
Use the right load
Long shelves and wardrobe rails should be sized and supported for the load. Bowing is a sign that additional support or a stronger section may be needed.
Check sliding-door tracks
Dirt, loose rollers and misalignment can make sliding wardrobe doors harder to move. Continuing to force them may damage the track or panel edges.
Villas, apartments, townhouses and offices
The same maintenance principles apply across property types, but access and unit sizes differ. Send a wide photo plus close-ups so the hinge, runner, track or panel can be assessed in context.
